Story Behind The Song

Breathe in Girl was the first single released off the album. The success of the song encouraged the decision to record the full-length album. The chorus "Breathe in girl, breathe out girl," comes from an early morning in March 2018 when I pulled myself off the bathroom floor, both hands on the edge of the vanity, crying and staring at my reflection reminding myself to breathe after a string of events that pushed me to my emotional limit. The line from the song, "I hate to spoil the ending but you're going to be ok," became a power line that has touched the lives of many since the release of the song. This song represented the start of my independence as a solo musician, paving my own path in my musical career.
